User Reviews

TwistedWave is praised for its mobile-friendly, easy-to-use interface, stability with long files, and versatility for podcast/VO/church work, plus responsive support. The main recurring drawback is insufficient onboarding/documentation for the iOS version, which can hinder new users trying to learn the app. Overall, it’s a solid, capable editor on iOS with room for improved onboarding and guidance.
Pros
  • Easy to use on iPhone/iPad with a simple, intuitive UI that many reviewers appreciate.
  • Stable and reliable performance that handles long recordings (2 hours+ or more) without crashing.
  • Good versatility for common on‑the‑go editing tasks (podcasts, VO work, church services) across different contexts.
  • Responsive developer/support reputation, with multiple reviewers noting timely responses and helpful fixes.
Cons
  • Onboarding and documentation for the iOS version are lacking, making it hard to learn how to start a project or use the app compared with the desktop version.

Why is there no manual for TwistedWave on ipad? Also why can i no longer see the “Denoise” functionality on the iPad app. I want my money back.

Problem in echo
by al*****, 2026-05-22

I've been all over the internet trying to find a manual for the ios version of Twisted Wave. No luck. Ios version very different from desktop version but no explanation for how to use it exists anywhere. There is what looks like a volume slider at the top of the recording window. What is it for? It has no effect on input level. How do you select regions? How does one use the buttons at the bottom of the record window? Lack of ANY documentation makes it impossible to use this app for anything other that quick recording.
