User Reviews

Users largely rely on iUMS Basic for live and recorded video, but recent updates have caused widespread reliability problems. The most recurring issues are playback date inaccuracies, loss of configured devices/data after updates, and connectivity difficulties. Performance also suffers with slow live viewing and crashes. While the core functionality and UI are appreciated by some, persistent instability from updates has led to significant frustration for many users.
Pros
  • Core functionality: ability to view live video and access recorded footage (a common expectation and used by many reviewers).
  • Clear and informative UI with accessible status and controls (noted for clarity, with visible information and intuitive layout).
  • Generally positive baseline experience for home surveillance (some reviewers describe it as 'very nice' and suitable for personal use).
Cons
  • Playback/date issues introduced by updates: incorrect dates, inability to select current month for playback, and mismatched time stamps across reviews.
  • Data loss or reset of DVRs, setups, and device lists after app updates (wiped/erased data, lost configurations).
  • Connectivity failures after updates: cannot connect to DVR/cameras, app shows 'connecting' without video or fails to establish connection on iPad/iOS.
  • Performance problems: slow live view, low FPS, frequent crashes/glitches.
Recent reviews
The new playback UI is not showing correct dates. I have tested on different phones and iOS versions. This app supports over 20 of my clients and used to work flawlessly for me before recent updates. Can this be researched please

Would someone PLEASE provide a fix to the playback problem? Or at lease acknowledge that whoever did the last update screwed it up? Why have this app if you can’t go back and replay your security cameras???

However I am having problem whenever I go to do play back it give me the option for last month date to play back not this month is there away to fix this issue we are on March 18 2019 and on playback it give me February 18 2019. And after that date is not available thank you
