User Reviews

TeamSnap offers strong organization and team-management features, with timely communication between coaches, players, and parents, and good overall usability when ads aren’t a distraction. However, most reviews focus on one major drawback: intrusive, often unskippable ads that disrupt use and persist even on paid plans. Users also report reliability glitches (messages not delivering, data not syncing) and occasional scheduling/roster inaccuracies, plus friction when managing multiple kids or teams. Overall, solid functionality is outweighed by ad UX and reliability problems.
Pros
  • Well organized and easy to use
  • Provides timely information and effective communication between coaches, players, and parents
  • Comprehensive team management features (schedules, rosters, messaging)
  • Trusted, long-standing solution used by many teams
Cons
  • Intrusive, full-screen ads that disrupt the app experience and persist even on paid ad-free plans
  • Ads often require long close loops or restarting the app, sometimes with audio, interrupting core tasks
  • Reliability issues like messages not delivering and data not syncing properly
  • Scheduling/roster data inaccuracies or confusing interface (wrong schedules, misassigned roles, mismatched locations)
  • Usability friction when managing multiple kids or teams due to heavy navigation and many taps

With the iOS update that removed the orange dot that told you which team you had a new notification for, it makes it really difficult to figure out out of the 86 notifications I have which team has an update. I don’t have to click into each team to try to figure out what was updated. I get the notifications as a badge. However, sometimes I clear them all out before checking TeamSnap. Please Bring back the orange. Dot for us multiple team managers.

App used to work great. No my game scores are resetting, screen goes blank, clock resets to 00:00… it’s garbage

Difficult to use - ads are super annoying, they hide the X to close the ads. And the ads are irrelevant.
