User Reviews

Overall, the app is workable for PSK31 and generally easy to use, with decent decoding and solid compatibility with external audio gear. However, it is portrait-only (limited waterfall size), noisy in difficult conditions, and UI/updates are lacking. Transmission exists via external hardware but a built-in TX mode is not present and features like PSK63 support are missing. Despite drawbacks, it remains the most viable iOS PSK31 option today for many users.
Pros
  • Works for PSK31 with usable decoding; often praised as reliable
  • Easy to use and simple interface
  • Good hardware compatibility (works with external audio interfaces like Easy Digi and iMic)
  • TX-capable with external gear and potential TX mode in the future
Cons
  • Portrait-only orientation; no landscape support; waterfall is small in portrait
  • Noise sensitivity reduces usefulness in noisy environments
  • Not updated / development appears stalled
  • Decoding quality varies; some modes (e.g., PSK63) not supported
  • Rough UI and not very intuitive

As I review this app, it appears that PSKer (which frankly has better functionality) has stopped working all together since the developer of that app stopped updating it years ago and now that app doesn’t accept audio input (needs permissions fix to be current with iOS). This app does work, but is a little rough around the edges. I wish it supported landscape mode for the iPad, tagging of waterfalls, and a more intuitive interface. In short, this is all we have for PSK on iOS right now and...at least it works, but still - wish the app would be updated. I’d gladly pay for it. 73, KI4ASK

It does work with my Easy Digi by KF5INZ interface. Main problem I have is that you can not change the rotation of the app. I use it with an iPad Pro connected to a keyboard case. The will not display in landscape orientation (sideways), only in portrait mode. This makes the waterfall display small and I have to use the iPad outside of keyboard case. If it would display in landscape orientation with a larger waterfall, then I would use it more.

Okay. So I tried this with PSK31 and it works 'okay' but not the greatest. It will not copy PSK63. It would be great to have something like fldigi for iOS. Michael
