I can download the books I purchased but can’t open them at all. The “Start reading” button doesn’t work. Useless app

Since 10 years I use this app. But since a week I purchased an m4 iPad Pro 11, and when download the inkling app. And downloaded my ebooks, it doesn’t show the chapters even if I download them again. Its keep telling me to start reading or download the ebook again.Its frustrating!!!
