User Reviews

Users like the app for on-the-go access to financial data and news and find it useful enough for daily use, noting it’s easy to use and a clear improvement over earlier versions. However, recurring stability and performance issues dominate feedback: the app frequently crashes at startup or after updates and runs slowly, making it unreliable. Additional criticisms center on a dated, poorly ported UI and weak audio/event features that hinder background listening and event calendars. Feature gaps (alerts and portfolio customization) are also highlighted.
Pros
  • On-the-go access to financial data and news; easy to use.
  • Daily-use app that users rely on for staying updated.
  • Big improvement over the previous version.
Cons
  • Frequent crashes at startup / after updates, making the app unreliable.
  • Very slow performance / slow to load compared to peers.
  • UI feels dated and the app seems poorly ported from the desktop.
  • Event listening/audio features are unreliable or do not work well or in the background.

The overall app is good and I use it daily. It would be nice if I could set stock alerts directly rom the app rather than having to do it on the factset system. Even a simply price alert would be great. The charts need a few more features as weñl, particularly when it comes to time frame. It would be better to set for daily, weekly, monthly vs just a 1 year 2 year, etc. Rrgarding portfolios, it appears you cannot rename a portfolio group through the app, that woul dbe a nice feature.

The event listening feature is really inferior to the Bloomberg app which allows you To continue listening without the app having to occupy your Entire screen. The Bloomberg app allows you to continue listening while your phone is locked. The FactSet app requires you to suspend all other activity on your phone and ensure that it remains unlocked for the duration of the event which is impractical and frustrating.

The FactSet app has good company financial data but it is very very slow. Much slower than Bloomberg in serving the info for some reason
