WingX is a long-standing, affordable EFB with strong flight planning features and a useful split-screen workflow that many pilots praise. Its low yearly price and broad functionality are attractive, especially compared with pricier competitors. However, several themes recur: unreliable real-time weather data (METAR/TAF outages), OS/hardware compatibility issues that can force device upgrades, login and account access problems, pricing/policy frustrations (double IFR charges, removal of a free CFI option), and occasional crashes or laggy support. Overall, it remains feature-rich for budget-minded pilots, but reliability and user experience are inconsistent.

Been a user for many years. Excellent EFB. No need to pay $$$$$ for “What everyone uses”. Only 99 CENTS/YEAR for everything a VFR pilot will ever need!
