User Reviews

Users praise Medici.tv for its broad catalog of classical performances and strong entertainment value. However, recurring problems undermine the experience: repeated login/authentication failures, loading and playback errors, and concerns about support and billing. Cross-device issues (no native Apple TV app, AirPlay problems) and difficulties with search/favorites syncing are also common. Overall, the content is highly regarded, but reliability and support gaps are the major pain points across devices.
Pros
  • Broad breadth and variety of classical performances and documentaries.
  • High-quality, engaging classical content and entertainment value.
  • Some users noted positive updates and feature improvements (e.g., program notes and AirPlay/search capabilities).
Cons
  • Login/authentication problems (password reset failures, login button not working, splash screen login failures).
  • Loading/streaming failures and unreliable playback (content failing to load, persistent errors).
  • Poor customer service and questionable billing/auto-renew practices.
  • Lack of a native Apple TV app and cross-device compatibility issues (AirPlay reliability, limitations across devices).
  • Search/navigation issues and favorites syncing problems (search results cluttered; favorites not syncing or disappearing).
Recent reviews
Medici TV has promised for years to incorporate favorites on all of the various apps and websites and to have seamless integration. This has been promised for over 15 years. It still hasn’t happened. The problem with the title of my review is that it is unfair to elementary school children. They could do a better job than the executives who run Medici TV Roku TV doesn’t show any favorites – it doesn’t show any at all. The Roku app continues to be very limited compared to either the Apple app or their website. Again, Medici promised to fix that years ago and has done nothing. The Apple TV app only shows a small handful of my favorites. Once again, medici.tv promised to fix this years ago and they still haven’t done it. The medici.tv website is no better, because when I try to click on the second page or the next page of my favorites, I immediately get an error message. So even on the website, I can’t access all of my favorites. Medici staff, when are you losers going to actually honor and live up to all of the promises that you have made to your customers in these comments? Aren’t you a little embarrassed by this record? Or maybe as long as people are dumb enough to pay you figure it doesn’t matter.

Not as consistent as other streaming services.

I created my account, then needed to change my password. The app would not recognize the new password. I reset again, and the app still would not recognize it. After several days went by with with me locked out and the original purpose I had in mind for the app having passed, I reached out to explain what happened and seek a refund, since I had been totally unable to use the service at any point. The customer service I received was incredibly disappointing and reflected very badly on Medici TV. Needless to say no resolution was reached. Save your money and look for alternative sources to view the performances you’re interested in.
