User Reviews

Procore is praised for improving site coordination and daily task efficiency, with users citing strong cross-team collaboration and daily use. However, a recent update introduces a left-side navigation and removes the bottom toolbar, adding steps to reach documents, drawings, and tools. Reported issues include lag, crashes, unreliable markups, and syncing problems, plus UI quirks that obscure notes or hinder searching. Tablet usability is specifically affected. Many users request an option to revert or toggle back to the old layout. Overall it remains a valuable field tool when it runs smoothly, but the update is contentious.
Pros
  • Improves job-site management and cross-team coordination.
  • Daily-use tool that makes everyday tasks easier on the field.
  • Supports bidding workflows with quick visibility into bids.
  • Overall strong construction project-management capabilities.
Cons
  • Left-side menu and revamped layout hamper navigation; users want an opt-in toggle or revert option.
  • Bottom toolbar removal and new navigation pattern add extra steps to access documents, drawings, and tools.
  • Performance issues including lag, crashes, and unreliable save/markup functionality.
  • Tablet/iPad usability problems and UI changes that obscure notes and hinder searching.

My company is just starting the transition from another app to this for doing civil work. There is a huge problem with being able to scale areas, and non-geometric shapes. We were told that this would be addressed by the end of the year. We need this functionality sooner than later. Scaling is one of the main uses I have for an app like this.

I’ve long hated Procre, mostly because their programming logic was all messed up and you couldn’t even navigate from one place to another in it. But at least it’s gotten better, and that’s all I can say
