However, it suffers from maintenance and compatibility problems on newer iPhones, flaky server connections, and playback bugs. Pros

Broad DLNA/NAS server compatibility (works with PS3 Media Server, Serviio, Twonky and other NAS setups) and generally easy to set up for local streaming.
Good for both music and video playback, with ordered music playlists / reliable playlist behavior.
Works well for streaming from NAS to Apple devices and can stream without needing a PC on.
Supports a wide range of formats (including MKV) and includes transcoding capabilities.
Simple, straightforward DLNA client experience for household use when it functions properly.

Cons

No longer well maintained; compatibility with current iPhones/iOS versions is poor and updates have stalled, leading to unresolved issues.
Flaky DLNA connectivity and server compatibility (long startup times, server detected but no file list, stuttering or skipping with certain servers like Twonky/Serviio).
No remote access outside the local network to NAS, limiting use cases to LAN only.

It would be great if you can use this to access your NAS server from outside. Not just in your home LAN.

Use to be an awesome app! Used it for several years mainly to stream my music. It had worked so flawlessly for years had me thinking it was my equipment messing up and it was actually the app. Obviously they have stop maintaining the app it was great when it worked. Would suggest trying some else.
