Field Agent offers a way to earn small rewards and occasional freebies through shopping tasks and reviews, with a broad range of tasks and generally reliable payouts. However, earnings are often very low for the time/drive involved, there is fierce competition, and many tasks get denied or listed as unavailable. Payout issues and mixed support responses further dampen the experience. It can work as a modest side income, but expect modest returns and potential frustration.

Pros

Earn extra money through a variety of tasks, plus reimbursements and occasional bonuses for ratings & reviews (free items).
Large variety of tasks with relatively simple, easy-to-follow instructions that can fit around shopping.
Payouts are generally reliable and money tends to show up for completed tasks.

Cons

Very low pay per task relative to time, travel, and effort (often $2–$3, sometimes even less).
Intense competition; gigs are snapped up quickly, making it hard to grab opportunities.
Frequent task denials or issues like product-not-found/SKU mismatches and unrelated or unavailable listings.
Payout delays, disputes, and reports of unresponsive or inconsistent support (and occasional account/balance freezes).
Store interactions can be uncomfortable or harassing during photo tasks; Eye Spy tasks are especially hard; general reliability issues with listings (jobs appearing then disappearing).

Camera feature is better than most. Excessively slow roll on job approvals. You can submit something on a Saturday and not get paid till Wednesday.

Decent app when it works. Within the job search tab, there’s a glitch with a red banner that shows up when jobs are already taken because the server “hasn’t been able to take them down yet,” but these jobs/glitches are “available”/visible for days/weeks, so how is it that the server hasn’t been able to take them down..? This glitch started in July and supposedly the developers and staff can’t see them, but I see the red banner is seen on 75%+ of the jobs available to me soooo..? It seems like they don’t know what they’re doing or something to be aware of the glitch and be unable to fix it within seconds via coding. My friend has no engineering/coding education, created an app via Claude, and fixes issues within seconds… sooo what’s up, Field Agent?
