User Reviews

Classic Solitaires on iOS is a beloved, high‑quality Solitaire experience with a strong UI and Vegas mode, but is hampered by intrusive ads, update-driven changes that alter core rules and remove features, and occasional bugs. The core gameplay remains solid and familiar, and many users praise its longevity and responsiveness, though monetization-driven changes and interface regressions dilute the overall experience.
Pros
  • Excellent Solitaire UI and Vegas mode; widely praised as the best UI for Solitaire
  • Longstanding trusted app with years of use and a familiar, reliable core experience
  • Strong core gameplay that's enjoyable and easy to use
  • Generally positive reception and responsiveness to fixes after updates
Cons
  • Intrusive ads that disrupt play, including full-screen interruptions and loud ad audio
  • Major updates changed core rules (Vegas deck now a single pass) and auto-move, making games harder or unwinnable
  • Interface regressions and removal of features (no restart option, altered tapping behavior) and slower card turns
  • Difficulty settings are hard to find or cannot be adjusted
  • Occasional bugs and glitches (cards moving on their own, 3-card draw not working) and ad-related noise

I’ve played this game probably every day for the last 10+ years. The ads bug me (on a game I paid for!). But worse, today it started stacking the deck and dealing the exact same set of cards. I solved it, I reset the game unsolved, I solved it again, and it’s always the same deal.

This app works very good in Android but on IOS it is just about useless. The cards even in the largest setting are very difficult to see. It doesn’t function well at all. There is no left handed setting, no ability to change background or face sides of the cards. I had to pay for this game on iPhone, but then again iPhone forced you to pay for just about every app where they are free on Android. But even paying i don’t get the needed functionality on iPhone and I’m forced to find a different app just to play solitaire!

I love the Vegas style solitaire with this app what I don’t like is music coming out of no where when I have music and sound off. Please turn off the music makes me not want to play it
