Features & Capabilities

Textual aspires to be iPad's key to your company's conference room.

Textual is a straightforward text editor & note-taking app that offers the ability to secure each of your notes with AES 256-bit encryption.

Textual was born out of a desire to take notes for clients in a highly secure fashion. Many organizations require all portable electronic information to be stored securely, and 256-bit AES encryption is likely to suit those requirements.

Using Textual is immediately obvious and understandable, enabling you to: • Lock and Unlock individual notes that you want to store securely • Search notes by title and contents • Set, Change, and Reset your master password • E-mail your notes • Resize the font by pinching the editor

Planned & Upcoming Features (All updates will be free for life!): • Tagging • Export (open in another app, online publish) • Import (from a URL or from another app) • Gesture controls for editing text (indenting) • Custom Keyboard buttons supporting easier indent/outdent and text navigation • Syntax highlighting of code • A simple Mac OS X application to decrypt files synced from your device to your Mac

User Reviews

There are no instructions. There is no website. No author email address, nothing. Despite the view in the App Store, there is no apparent way to delete a note. A master password to unlock all notes would be helpful. It is not obvious why anyone would want a new password for each note. There is no font choice or bold or italic or anything else. With a little more work, it could be worth the 2 dollars. I don't need something fancy but delete should be obvious and fonts, bold, and itallic are not fancy. Typing in an individual passwords per note is unreasonable. Programmer, When you put up the decrypt dialogue, put the cursor in the pw field and trigger the keyboard. Use and edit button at the top of the list to trigger editing the list, standard GUI.

I have used this app now for about a month. I have been happy. I agree without the idea to highlight the search terms when found. I would also like to see the ability to organize my notes in some sort of sub-foldering option.
