User Reviews

Overall, reviewers see ComicGlass as a dependable, easy-to-use comic reader with broad format support (CBR/CBZ, PDFs, and archives) and solid library management with easy device transfer. Long-time users praise its longevity and ongoing updates without paid upgrades. The app is frequently described as simple yet feature-rich with a clean interface. Some note occasional stability issues after updates and bugs with certain file names or formats (ePub, Katakana), and a wish for ongoing maintenance. Despite this, many call it the best option for viewing and organizing comics on Apple devices.
Pros
  • Easy-to-use interface with a simple, complete feature set.
  • Broad format support, including CBR/CBZ and archive formats (zip/rar/ace) for viewing and extraction.

  • Long-term reliability with years of use and ongoing updates without mandatory paid upgrades.
Cons
Recent reviews
JPEG XL/JXL saves a lot of space and supports lossless transcoding of JPEG files, so it's very ideal for archiving comics, please add support. iOS/iPadOS/macOS all have added built-in support for JXL for some time, so it should be very easy to enable support in your app. Thanks.
