User Reviews

Users generally praise SecureSafe as a long-standing, feature-rich password manager, but repeatedly experience login failures, unreliable biometrics, and forced web-based sign-ins with CAPTCHA. Security prompts and VPN-related blocks disrupt daily use, causing delays and frustration. While some users report eventual fixes, overall sentiment is that reliability has degraded, risking churn as users seek more dependable alternatives.
Pros
  • Longstanding, trusted password manager used for years and frequently recommended by users.
  • Feature-rich and complete password manager with a broad set of capabilities.
  • Historically reliable and easy to use before the recent issues degraded the experience.
Cons
  • Frequent login failures and being forced to use the web version; passwords may not be recognized or accepted.
  • Face ID/Touch ID unreliable or not functioning consistently.
  • Security prompts (CAPTCHA) and web verification often interrupt sign-in, sometimes worsened by VPN usage.
  • Sign-in and password access can be slow or require multiple attempts, reducing usability.
  • Support and fixes appear slow or inconsistent, with many users awaiting resolution for months.

There is no email or app warnings of your subscription ending. Make sure you set a calendar alerts prior to your term expiring or you won’t be able to access passwords until you pay the ‘ransom.’ Extremely frustrating. Password fill only works for some apps and websites, less and less over time.

It’s almost perfect, the major pitfall is that you can not chance the app name, to keep it really safe. It can be easy found in cade of robbery.

Facial ID is still broken and the app forces you to log onto the website. There is no update to fix in the near future. Why have an app in the first place?
