Users like the core learning features (tabs/chords) and community, and value contributing tabs. The major downsides are intrusive startup prompts, persistent ads and price upsells, a clunky navigation, inconsistent tab quality, and limited support. Overall, it’s strong for learning when it works, but user experience suffers from interruptions, cost concerns, and reliability issues.

Recent reviews

I’ve been using UG for probably around 6+ years at this point. The auto scroll and then eventually the play and practice features were all free. Now all of these options are only acceptable after you’ve paid for a subscription. It’s disappointing and I will no longer be using this app because of it.
