User Reviews

Users consistently praise VetPDA Calcs as a comprehensive, fast, and customizable veterinary calculator suite useful for clinicians and students. Recurring downsides are iOS update compatibility causing launch issues, missing overweight-dog nutrition options, and weight/units handling limitations (lbs/kg and automatic conversion).
Pros
  • Comprehensive, all-in-one veterinary calculator suite (dosages, CRI, fluid rates, nutrition, surface area conversions).
  • Time-saving and enhances clinical workflow.
  • Highly customizable (CRI dosing options, units, and display preferences).
  • Valuable for students and clinicians; supports veterinary rotations and learning.
Cons
  • iOS compatibility issues after updates; app can fail to open on newer iOS versions without an update.
  • No overweight option for dogs in the Energy Requirements/Nutrition calculators.
  • Weight/units handling needs improvement (default lbs vs kg; lack of automatic pounds-to-kg conversion).

Love the app, but I am unable to open it since my phone updated to iOS 14 I was unable to find a contact number or email for the developers of this app to notify them of the problem. Please update ASAP!!! An update is in order; After getting in contact with Phil (the developer of this app) he was able to put me back on track in no time at all. I highly recommend this vet calculator, it truly makes your life easier!!

Thanks to Phil and his patient emails, we were able to figure out the problem. It was an easy fix of deleting then reloading the app. I am very happy to have this app back in my toolbox! As a vet, I used this app quite a bit. A month ago I tried to use the app but got nothing. So bummed. Are you not updating it for the latest Apple operating system? Please fix!

A math wiz I am not. Like many, I am baffled by CRI calculations and have found relatively little on the internet to help. Would you please provide a more ample explanation of the process , detail by detail (OK, “for dummies” would be a more appropriate term) and provide a choice to enter pounds that would automatically be transformed into kgs in the background as was done in other calculations. Otherwise this application is EXCELLENT!!!!
