User Reviews
Pros
- Free to use with a simple, no-frills interface.
- Wide variety of drum beat patterns for practice across genres and skill levels.
- Good sound quality and dynamic range (per reviewer with broad app comparisons).
- Allows slowing down patterns for easier learning and practice.
- Useful for writing parts and practicing in different settings (teaching, solo practice, performance).
Cons
- Lacks tempo control and BPM display; users want precise tempo adjustment and visible BPM.
- Limited support for odd time signatures (3/4, 5/4, 6/8, etc.).
- Pattern organization is weak: too many similar samples within a category and difficult navigation; need better naming and easier navigation (forward/backward).
- Desire for more genre variety beyond current trends (e.g., swing, country, jazz ensembles).
Recent reviews
To be up-front, there is nothing in the description that says “this is a drum machine.” So don’t be disappointed to find out it’s just a predetermined set of about 50 tracks that cannot be altered whatsoever: this app is what it says it is! 🙂 I’m not sure if it’s a sampled or sequenced set of tracks, but they sound good, and they’re for practicing, or just listening to. No frills here! And it’s free.
Unlike in some reviews, there is now (in 2026) a slider bar to speed up and slow down the tempo, and the tracks are named, so those are two improvements right there. I would like to see what the tempos are, but instead the app can take the tempos as slow as .5 (1/2), or as fast as 2x, so one isn’t totally blind as to how fast you’re going.
Ad strip along the bottom (so far, the only ads that have appeared, and I appreciate that).
It’s free, and it’s a great app for what it is. Thank you so much for developing this!

Most of the loops. Especially the REGGAE are literally useless to play along, because of the Drum Rolls.
Practically impossible to pick any of your favorites song and play from start to finish with these Drum Beats.
- And please include AMA PIANO, AFRO, DANCEHALL, TECHNO and other new trends.
