User Reviews

The iOS reviews show a tool with real value for legal research when it runs, but this value is undercut by chronic instability, outdated data, and login/search issues. Crashes, XML parsing errors, and no saved preferences are the dominant pain points, with many users calling for an update. A few positives note it was strong in the past and that the PC/bar-association experience can be solid, but the mobile app’s reliability issues dominate the sentiment.
Pros
  • Useful legal research tool when the app is functioning
  • Historically strong app with a good reputation before stability issues
  • PC version is favored by some subscribers
  • Bar association access can make using Fastcase easier
Cons
  • Frequent crashes and instability, often without warning, causing loss of work and requiring re-login
  • Data appears outdated/not updated for years and may include XML parsing errors
  • Sign-in/login issues; need to log in repeatedly and difficulty signing in
  • Search reliability is poor (XML parsing errors, searches fail or don't load results)
  • No persistent user preferences; need to reconfigure settings (jurisdiction, etc.) on each use

A long time ago in a courtroom far far away... This app worked marginally well. Except when it would crash without warning. Now it won't even load search results. All I get now is a pinwheel ever turning. This was a great idea executed horribly. I wish y'all would fix it but that's probably wishful thinking...

I use fastcase through my bar association and have no problems, it is easy to use. This app is not at all user friendly. It crashes and I have tp keep logging in. Frustrating!
