User Reviews

Users praise Pano Tuner for being easy to use, reliable, and versatile across instruments, often replacing multiple tuners. It’s lauded as accurate, portable, and good value, with flexible settings and broad instrument support (guitar, violin, bass, harp, piano). However, many reviews report stability and compatibility problems: crashes and freezes after updates, especially on iOS 17.x devices, and occasional misreadings. When it runs smoothly, it’s regarded as among the best phone tuners; but ongoing bugs keep some users frustrated until fixes arrive.
Pros
  • Easy to use and elegant interface; beginner-friendly
  • Accurate and versatile across instruments (guitar, violin, bass, harp, piano)
  • Very convenient and portable; eliminates the need for separate tuners
  • Affordability and good value; upgrading to premium is worthwhile
  • Flexible settings and tuning options across different temperaments and instruments
Cons
  • Crashes and freezes; instability after updates
  • Compatibility issues with newer iOS versions/devices (notably iOS 17.x)
  • Occasional inaccuracies or misreadings of notes
  • Startup/usage crashes or freezes when accessing settings or info

Great, accurate tuner, always available on my phone. Used the free version for years, finally bought the paid version to lose the ads and help support the developer. However, since upgrading to OS 26.6, I can use the tuner once, and when I try to open to use it again, the app is frozen. If I restart my phone I can again use it once. Real pain when playing a gig with a 12-string that needs constant tuning. Please update to fix the freeze issue!

Tried Petersen and many other tuners, and the Pano was absolutely well above others! Every string on my Harp was recognized (unlike Petersen and others). Love the frequency graph. It is so easy to tune, highly recommended. Just get the full version. It is the best deal anywhere. This app works as promised, and absolutely love it!!
