User Reviews

Anesthesia Central is praised as a comprehensive, portable all-in-one anesthesia reference with quick search, especially useful for students and SRNAs for drugs, procedures, and labs, and it includes the Davis drug guide. Common drawbacks are high and recurring costs, licensing problems when switching devices, content gaps or downgraded usefulness after updates, and some navigation/UX concerns.
Pros
  • All-in-one reference for drugs, procedures, and labs.
  • Quick, well-written, organized content that’s easy to access during clinicals.
  • Highly valued by students, SRNAs, and clinicians as a ready reference.
  • Includes the Davis drug guide for quick, portable drug information.
  • Portable in the OR and reduces the need to carry multiple textbooks.
Cons
  • High price with ongoing annual renewal requirements (not a one-time purchase).
  • Device changes can trigger new purchases or access loss (licensing issues).
  • Content gaps and variable quality in some sections (e.g., drug coverage, disease considerations).
  • Updates or content reorganization can reduce usefulness (e.g., replacing concise manuals).
  • Navigation/UX issues and perceived redundancy with other resources.

I have accessed this app for my clinical care plans and during clinicals for info. I love it! Well written and organized. I haven't had to put it on a new device but it still has provided a great resource for clinicals.

I never write reviews but this app irritated me enough to waste my time and write a review. I purchased this app on an iPhone 6 that quit working. I purchased a new iPhone 6 and restored from a backup made on the other iPhone. This app no longer works because I changed devices. Support said I have to purchase another subscription because I let it run out on another device. I will never buy anything from unbound again.

Bought this when I was a student in hopes that it would help me specially during clinicals but came to realize it was a waste of money. Spent about 240$ at the time (now around 100) But still not worth it. Don't waste your money. Even if you buy, it's not a one time purchase because they will require you to renew annually for 100$ !!!
