User Reviews

Pocket Yoga is praised for its affordable, one-time price, simple interface, and reliable, portable guidance. Reviewers value a broad routine library spanning beginner to advanced levels, plus sun salutations and a calm instructional voice with a pose dictionary. However, most recurring critiques focus on missing features and content limits: no option to create custom sequences, a small module set with repetitive flows, weak Apple Watch support, and uneven beginner guidance. Some users also report bugs or slow customer support. Overall, it remains a trusted, non-subscription yoga app with caveats.
Pros
  • One-time price with no subscription, a major budgeting advantage
  • Wide variety of routines, including beginner/intermediate/advanced sets and sun salutations
  • Simple, no-frills, streamlined user experience that feels reliable
  • Clear guidance through audio instruction and a pose dictionary, making it a portable teacher
  • Longstanding, well-supported app that users stick with for years
Cons
  • Cannot create custom sequences or workouts, a frequently requested feature
  • Content is limited to a few modules and can feel repetitive after a while
  • Apple Watch integration is weak: workouts don't show on watch, limited features
  • Beginner guidance is not very beginner-friendly; poses explanations could be clearer
  • Support issues: some users report poor customer service and account access problems

With a bunch of poses i feel like there should be an option to create your own routine, a lot of the advanced poses aren’t featured in the preset routines.

Overall very good app! I like that it’s not a subscription and just a one time payment(currently) when compared to many other yoga apps! A lot of great vinyasa practices here with some variation. I would like to see them develop and add other types of yoga practices as well such as yin!
