Features & Capabilities

TeachMe: Kindergarten is a kid-friendly educational Chrome extension that teaches six core subjects to Kindergarten-aged children: sight words, addition, subtraction, spelling, and writing letters and numbers. The learning is aligned with common core standards to help prepare kids for Kindergarten, with an animated teacher (Mimi Mouse) providing verbal instructions and feedback to keep children engaged.

The extension features a coin-based reward system, sticker scenes, a virtual aquarium, and progress history for up to 40 students. Parents can review performance, customize which subjects appear for each student, export sticker rewards scenes to Photos or wallpaper, and share progress with family.

User Reviews

Reviewers praise a broad, customizable curriculum with motivating rewards and solid math/reading content, plus homeschool-friendly value. Common criticisms focus on bugs, billing glitches, a desire for more grades, limited rewards variety, and some issues with the writing portion's scoring. Overall, it’s a strong early-education tool with room for stability and content expansion.
Pros
  • Comprehensive, customizable curriculum across multiple grade levels with per‑student settings and progress tracking.
  • Engaging reward system (stickers, virtual fish, token economy) that motivates kids and supports ongoing learning.
  • Strong educational value for math and reading, with adaptability for special needs and ability to tailor to individual learners.
  • Value and versatility: affordable bundles, homeschooling-friendly, and long‑term use.
  • Proven usefulness across ages, with positive word-of-mouth and continued use from early years onward.
Cons
  • Bugs and stability issues, such as crashes when adjusting settings or during use.
  • Billing problems and difficulty cancelling; unexpected charges can occur.
  • Not enough grade levels; demand for higher grades beyond kindergarten/early elementary (e.g., 4th–6th, algebra).
  • Limited rewards variety; stickers/fish can become repetitive over time.
  • Writing module can have scoring inaccuracies or less effective instruction, causing frustration.

Have all of the teachers me apps and love all of them. My only complaint is that they don’t have more grades available!

This is a wonderful app but it is not fair to trick six year olds. First, no matter how many times we listen to the word, you cannot tell the difference between “an” and “ am”. Also given the word”his” they offered two of that word and we chose one, they said wrong, picked the other and it was right. Please look into this! This wonderful practice to get them ready for computerized assessments and great practice to help with the”summer slide”.
