User Reviews

Users generally praise the app for its history feature, data consolidation from multiple Whois sources, and practical usefulness for troubleshooting with fewer redirects than web sites. Repeated negatives include upsell pressure and a paid model, intermittent access/login issues and rate limits, and the need for updates when Whois servers change. Some reviews raise privacy worries and note incomplete data or feature gaps. Overall sentiment is mixed but notes ongoing usefulness when maintained.
Pros
  • History feature remembers searches for quick reference.
  • Consolidates Whois data from multiple providers in one app.
  • Reliable and straightforward; avoids the redirects/ads common on web sites.
  • Helpful for troubleshooting and verifying server/IP information on the go.
  • Updates and fixes have addressed issues, showing ongoing support.
Cons
  • Constant upsell nags and pressure to pay for features.
  • Occasional access/login issues and rate limits; sometimes you can access despite paying.
  • Data can be affected by changes in whois servers (needs patches) and may become unusable until updated.
  • Privacy concerns or fears of data collection/misuse expressed by some reviewers.
  • Some data outputs are incomplete or limited (e.g., not showing addresses/names; not a subnet scanner).

I used this app to track my domain purchases and now it no longer works due to updated Whois server being retired. Is there going to be an update for this? The history still works which is mostly what I use to see the history on a domain I’m wanting to purchase. I’m happy this still works.

Because a hacker was trying to get into my accounts, I saw emails that told me where it was coming from, and it gave me an IP address which is where this app came into clutch because I was able to to locate where it was able to link to my accounts, and from there I could block it.
