User Reviews

Flame is praised as a simple, device/host–centric Bonjour browser with a clean layout that makes it easy to see hosts and their services. It’s fast and lightweight, and praised for its lack of ads. However, a persistent drawback across multiple reviews is crashes on iOS 9, which prevents use for some users. Some readers request service-based filtering or the ability to rename devices, but the core value is the straightforward host/service view.
Pros
  • Simple, focused utility that does one thing well.
  • Clear, helpful details about hosts/devices and their services.
  • Clean layout and easy navigation.
  • Works well/quick to use and generally reliable when functioning.
Cons
  • Crashes on iOS 9 / won't run on iOS 9 (launch crashes).

Seriously! It does one thing really, really well and nothing more! I would have paid for this app.

But I really wish I could change the name of the devices that are connected.

Very useful, indepensible tool. My only complaint is that it's sluggish and sometimes locks up for a few seconds. the sluggishness is evident on iOS and MacOS. But this could be due to the number of bonjour devices chattering on the network. either way, thank you for this tool.
