User Reviews

Overall, reviews show Flux Player is unstable and unreliable. The most common problems are crashes and freezes, including white screens, especially when opening or downloading content. Many users report purchased books won’t play or download properly, with repeated login/connection errors blocking access to licensed content. The reading experience is hampered by a clumsy UI: hard-to-highlight/annotate, bookmarks difficult, and text too small with no easy resize. Playback usability suffers because there are no convenient seek controls (no back/30s or forward 30s) and updates can interrupt playback. A few users note audio playback and content can work, but overall quality is poor.
Pros
  • Basic audio playback works for simple listening tasks.
  • Content from some providers is accessible through Flux Player (e.g., Focus on the Family).
  • Apple TV compatibility exists and can work at least initially.
Cons
  • Crashes and instability: frequent crashes, freezes, and white screens.
  • Purchases/download issues: purchased books won’t play or download properly, with licensing/access problems.
  • Login/connection problems: repeated login prompts and connection errors blocking access.
  • Poor reading/annotation UX: hard-to-highlight/annotate, bookmarks difficult, and text too small with no easy resize.
  • Playback/navigation limitations: no convenient seek controls (no back/30s or forward 30s) and updates can interrupt playback.

I purchased a book paying $65 and it doesn’t play like it should. Can’t listen to you at all. Try to contact costumer services but the call doesn’t work.

Mediocre player. I really wish the content I am reading was on a different app. The controls are non-intuitive and it is practically impossible to annotate or highlight from the iPhone. Bookmarks? forget it, just plain impossible to use. No wide view. Ugh.
