Pros

Long-term reliability and strong reading/writing platform for years of use.
Active, positive community of readers and writers.

Cons

Excessive ads after every chapter and paid option to remove them.
Frequent sign-in/login issues, including trouble signing in and being logged out, plus Apple sign-in problems.
Performance problems: freezing, long loading times, and syncing errors.
Content deletions and authors being removed, affecting available reads.
Poor tagging and search functionality, with censored tags and limited discovery.

You guys really want ppl to not use this app!! Forced ads it’s getting ridiculous!!!

I have been on this app for eight years and have found tons of supportive online friends who are strangers that I don’t even know I was able to message with them and give them feedback on their Old stories until Wattpad decided that they were going to remove private messages completely now I can’t reach out to those same online friends who have supported my work and check in with how their stories are going because there are no more PMs if you will private messages to reach out and send support. I would also include that when I follow people back on Wattpad the majority of the time now it glitches and says I haven’t followed my respective followers back and that I need to try again later which if you’re a writer like myself, and you appreciate feedback and support from your fellow writers. How the heck are you supposed to support each other if there are no PMs to do so? Construction feedback is important to people like me and I’m sure other writers feel the same as I might.
