Features & Capabilities

Math Drills Lite provides a graphically rich, kid-friendly environment for a single learner to practice basic math skills—addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division—using visual tools like number lines, wooden blocks, facts, and hints. It even lets students solve nine-times problems by counting on fingers to build confidence.

Upgrade to the full version to manage up to 50 students, assign tests, earn high scores and awards, choose from themes (Chalkboard in Lite), set problem counts for reviews, practices, and tests, and use Smart Drills that focus on mistakes and slower responses. Visual progress is tracked with accuracy and speed graphs.

User Reviews

Math Drills Lite is praised for its simple, easy-to-use interface and its ability to motivate practice and improve basic math through repeated drills. Reviewers note a large set of problems and helpful features like number lines. However, recurring issues include a 10-question limit in the free version, bland/repetitive drills, and concerns about suitability for very young learners along with desires for more features and content.

  • Includes helpful features like visual number lines and adjustable problem sets/orientation.
Cons
  • Free version caps you at 10 questions per session and cannot adjust the number.

Since about 1958, all students who took arithmetic (as we called it) had to learn 100 problems each of addition, subtraction, and multiplication, and 90 for division (because you cannot divide by zero). Every one of those problems can be seen over and over on math lite, plus more of the higher-numbered problems! That is the toy to put on the phone to relive memory, and even live dreams! Thank you!
