User Reviews

Overall, users praise the app for being free, ad-free, and beginner-friendly with a simple, fast experience. However, main issues include biased/unfair AI and non-random dealing, frequent bugs and mis-deals, poor or empty multiplayer, and outdated maintenance. The visuals and landscape-speed option are positives, but fairness, reliability, and updates are major drawbacks.
Pros
  • Free to play with no ads, creating a beginner-friendly, no-pressure environment.
  • Realistic, fast gameplay and landscape-mode support to speed up play.
  • Simple, elegant design with nostalgic appeal; many users regard it as a classic or top choice among non-monetary Hold’em games.
  • Good for learning poker basics and practicing without real gambling or ads.
Cons
  • Perceived unfair AI and non-random dealing: computer often wins with favorable hands, and the AI seems to adapt to your strategy.
  • Frequent bugs and mis-deals: payouts sometimes not credited, impossible hands appear, and other glitches.
  • Poor multiplayer experience: real players often don’t join or take long to appear.
  • Outdated app with little or no updates for years, giving a neglected feel.
  • Missing core controls/UI limitations: lack of basic actions like fold/call/raise and limited interface.

I'm not sure what they did but the hands you're dealt in this version are absolutely garbage. I played hundreds of hands and basically never got pocket pairs. Usually low cards off suit and maaaybe if you get a face card it'll be with a 3 or 4. The AI knows your hand and will fold the second you flop something decent (which will basically never happen). It's pretty weird. Or they will also have the same good hand... but with an Ace kicker. ALWAYS an Ace kicker.

You will consistently lose to hands that have a 5% chance to beat you on higher levels.
