User Reviews

Qwert is a fast-paced, addictive word game with solid multiplayer and a charming aesthetic, but its experience is marred by persistent ads, poor typing input, limited dictionary validation, frequent bugs, and UI limitations on tablets. Reviewers laud the concept and variety yet flag monetization, balance, and cross-device usability as the top downsides.
Pros
  • Addictive and engaging word game that players enjoy.
  • Varied modes including multiplayer, providing social competition.
  • Attractive visuals and music with a charming aesthetic.
  • Fun, challenging gameplay that helps vocabulary and quick thinking.
  • Broad appeal for word-game fans with fast-paced rounds and replay value.
Cons
  • Ads continue to appear even after purchasing ad-free, frustrating monetization.
  • Inadequate typing experience: slow keyboard, cramped keys, and difficulty typing quickly.
  • Limited or inconsistent dictionary and word validation, causing missed words or unfair scoring.
  • Frequent bugs, glitches, crashes, and ads interfering with play.
  • UI on iPad and landscape support issues, including small screen readability and controls.

I love this game, but you can’t type quickly on it. I would love to see what I could come up with if typing wasn’t so slow. I’d even be willing to pay per match if I could actually use the time to come up with words.

First, this is the only app I’ve paid for that still makes me sit through way too many agonizing ads. Seriously, you expect me to pay additional money to remove the ads?? That’s greedy. Second, I stopped playing the definition game because it isn’t too bright. It simply looks for matching words so your definition doesn’t really need to be coherent, just type as many words as you can that you hope will match. It also doesn’t credit you for using a different form of a given word, so you better hope you’re writing in the proper tense. What would make it better is to use AI to decipher the definition written and score it. At least it would be more accurate.
