User Reviews

Reviews consistently praise Oxytone for its relaxing, meditative feel, beautiful visuals and sound, an ad-free experience, and a challenging yet unhurried puzzle that improves spatial thinking. However, users repeatedly report onboarding gaps (no clear goals or tutorial), save/resume problems, stability crashes, and issues with unlocking modes or trophies. Other notes include bugs, limited content, and unclear free-vs-paid differences. Overall, strong positives tempered by quality-of-life and reliability concerns.
Pros
  • Relaxing, meditative gameplay that clears the mind.
  • Ad-free experience and good value when buying the full version.
  • Beautiful visuals and soothing sound design.
  • Engaging, challenging puzzle with satisfying tile-line mechanics.
  • Unhurried pacing/no timers makes it a calming experience.
Cons
  • Lack of onboarding: no clear instructions or goals; needs tutorial.
  • Progress not saved when leaving the app; often returns to start or main menu.
  • Stability issues: app crashes or won’t reopen after closing.
  • Unlockables and modes are unclear or not functioning (quick mode, trophies, etc.).
  • Bugs/limitations with content and support: broken links, limited levels, and confusing help resources.

I like this game, but what is combo? How to achieve more combo?

I’m a gentleman that does not want to compete or kill/destroy things. I don’t like boring games. Oxytone is endlessly challenging and fun to play all alone.

Absolutely love this game. I played all the time. I think it’s wonderful. The main problem I have with this game is if I have to leave the game to go do something when I come back. I have to start over but not all the time sometimes it’ll bring the game back up, but most times it starts all over. That’s very devastating when you have a really good game going on. Other issues is I can’t take a screenshot of my finished map and I’m doing this on an iPad so I think on the PC you can do all that, but I don’t know if it’s not available on the iPad or what? Also, I’m totally looking forward to the android version. I tried to do the beta version but I’ve not been accepted yet I think. Right now I’m using my son’s iPad to play it and he really wants his iPad back, I’m sure. LOL If those issues can be changed then I will definitely rate it 5 stars!
