Features & Capabilities

Brotato:Premium drops you into fast-paced, top-down arenas where Brotato—an unlikely hero—executes up to six weapons at once. With auto-fire on by default and an optional manual aim, you’ll blast through alien hordes while assembling unique builds from hundreds of weapons, items, and traits.

Most runs are short and intense, typically under 30 minutes, and you can tailor the challenge with accessibility options that adjust enemy health, damage, and speed. Dozens of characters unlock, plus cloud storage notes: cloud saves are online-only; offline play won’t save to the cloud.

User Reviews

Reviewers generally praise Brotato for deep, replayable combat and strong value, with cross-platform appeal. Common concerns are unreliable cross-device save syncing, mobile performance issues, DLC/IAP bugs, punishing randomness, and disruptive review prompts. Despite flaws, the game remains engaging and worth trying for fans of the genre.
Pros
  • Deep, replayable combat with extensive weapon and item variety.
  • Great value for money; $5 price and solid DLC; no monthly subscription.
  • Excellent on iOS and consoles; works well across PC and mobile for on-the-go play.
  • Easy to learn but with strategic depth and high replay value.
  • Engaging and addictive, appealing for short sessions and long play.
Cons
  • Cross-device save syncing is unreliable across iOS, iPadOS, and macOS.
  • Mobile performance problems: crashes, freezes, and unresponsiveness during high-wave play.
  • DLC/IAP issues: no restore purchases and bugs (ban system disappearing after unlocking all content); support can be slow.
  • Runs feel overly random and unforgiving due to weapon pulls.
  • In-game review prompts interrupt gameplay.

I like this game very much, and I hope to add the LAN online mode? Multiplayer games will be more fun. I hope the developer can see this comment.

I like it, but I bought premium so I should have access to everything and not have to spend eight dollars

I’m playing Brotato on iPhone, and I often accidentally trigger the iOS Home Indicator gesture at the bottom of the screen during gameplay. This causes the game to minimize or interrupts my control, especially when I’m moving or dodging near the bottom area. Could you consider enabling iOS system gesture deferral for the bottom edge during gameplay? On iOS, this would make the bottom Home Indicator require an extra swipe before leaving the game, which is very useful for full-screen games and helps prevent accidental exits. This issue affects the gameplay experience quite a lot, especially in intense moments. It would be great if you could add this as a default behavior during matches, or provide an option such as “Prevent accidental Home Indicator swipes” / “Gesture protection” in the settings. Thank you for your work on the game! Best regards.
