Hooked: Remote Anchor Alarm

GPS Anchor Watch & Drift Alert

Features & Capabilities

Hooked is the most reliable remote anchor alarm for boaters. It provides real-time GPS tracking with colorful trails, so you can see exactly where your anchor is and how it’s moving. The remote command center lets you pause, adjust, or relocate your session from anywhere with an internet connection, while smart GPS filtering helps prevent false alarms. Hooked is designed to be gentle on your device’s battery, so you can rely on it for long sessions without draining power.

Its customization options cover units, appearance, and alarm volume, and you can share access with friends and family. Hooked can connect to chart plotters for more accurate GPS data, depth, and wind speed where supported. For remote monitoring, you’ll need two Hooked-equipped devices with internet access plus a Hooked Premium subscription on the boat device; Hooked Essential offers a cheaper option with remote notifications.

I have tried a bunch of anchor apps, especially the ones that use my NMEA GPS, and this is hands down the best app out of all of them. I run the anchor alarm on an ipad that stays on the boat, and monitor from my iPhone. I LOVE that editing the anchor position or radius (even remotely) works exactly as expected. The ais integration is perfect, especially helpful in crowded anchorages. The transfer of session between ipad and iphone works perfectly, so I can set the alarm with whichever device is convenient. Restarting sessions works flawlessly as well, especially when I mess up and lose a session. Can't recommend this app enough!!! The only thing that would make this app better? Having an android phone app so my husband can monitor from his phone.
