The optional Filtr add-on extends blocking to other apps at the network level without accessing your data, and works alongside VPNs, iCloud Private Relay, and custom DNS. Wipr 2 is a universal app for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple Vision Pro, with VoiceOver and Voice Control accessibility, Family Sharing, and multiple icon styles. As an independent, user-funded app, Wipr does not accept payment to allow ads or offer “acceptable ads.”

Not sure I understand all of the rave reviews here. This works somewhat? But often doesn’t. Constantly find myself having to open and refresh this app along with its add on/companion Filtr and still deal with plenty of spammy ads appearing and blocking the screen in Safari. Wasn’t a huge amount of money, but does feel like I wasted it. Certainly won’t be renewing.
