DayBookPro Mobile Companion out of the box is an application that provides a dashboard displaying speed, elevation and heading. It can show imperial, metric or nautical units. It also shows the current position on Google maps and the track followed from the opening of the app until the current moment. When used by professional lorry drivers the app can be linked to any specific haulier in the UK that runs their business on the DayBookPro web application. Once linked the app is used to to provide drivers with manifests of work to be done such as collecting and delivering freight. It provides proof of collection and delivery by recording times and taking pictures of the relevant signed documents. It has facilities to report freight damage back to the headquarters. It also provides with an SOS facility for drivers to be able to ask for help sending their current location to headquarters. It provides text messaging from headquarters to drivers with receipt acknowledgement. It also supports clock in and clock out events. When used by warehouse staff it allows recording of dimensions, weights and quantities and provides all the information needed to create GRN documents, a requirement for shipping goods via air cargo.
