When I try opening the app it says I need to update it to the latest version first but there’s no update pending in the App Store

App worked for two years, then came new update (4.61) which crashed upon opening, forced me to delete and redownload. The app now would not let me log in despite of the correct credential that worked on the website, stating that my account cannot be found.
