User Reviews

Quit Weed is praised for helping users stay sober and motivated, with strong tracking of days, milestones, and money saved, plus useful withdrawal information and a widget. The biggest drawbacks are intrusive ads and paywalled features that frustrate many users, along with some negative or triggering framing around cannabis use. Overall, it’s a highly helpful tool for progress tracking, but monetization and ad-supported UX substantially affect the experience.
Pros
  • Helps users stay sober and motivated throughout their quitting journey.
  • Tracks days, milestones, and money saved with visual progress, including a handy widget.
  • Provides science-informed information about withdrawal and stages of quitting.
  • Free version remains useful and the app has an indie, consumer-friendly feel.
  • Strong personal impact with testimonials showing real-life positive results.
Cons
  • Intrusive pop-up ads in the free version, interrupting daily use.
  • Paywalling of features and pricing that many users feel is not worth it.
  • Some users find the app's framing of addiction negative or triggering.
  • Limited free features and a desire for more customization or rewards without paying.
  • Not particularly innovative and some users feel it could improve beyond ads and monetization.

I bought the lifetime version to get no ads and the additional info. Turns out they changed everything and I need to pay 17.99 more in order to get the services I already paid for

Title says it all. Now it’s barely useable. Ads pop constantly. No new innovation into the app just scammy pop ups every 30secs. $4 a month pro version unlocks a few extra milestones but not worth the price.
