Features & Capabilities

The MitoRedLight app is the remote control for your Mito Red Light Adapt panel and newly added MitoPRO X panel! Through the app, you connect to your Mito ADAPT or PRO X panel, select the channel, set the time duration, and start your therapy session. Your device will turn on then turn off automatically at the end of the time you selected. Using the app makes it super easy to program your therapy session. Many modes are only available through the app! ADAPT has special modes through the app: extended NIR sessions, gradual sunrise, gradual sunset, and Red/NIR intervals. PRO X has special modes for extended NIR sessions and intervals.

User Reviews

Users generally praise the Mito light when the app connects, but reliability is a major issue. Bluetooth pairing often fails, updates disrupt functionality, and the app lacks many advertised features and a polished UI. Setup and login can be finicky, with support or documentation seen as inadequate. Overall, the hardware is valued, but app quality and consistency severely hinder the experience, especially given the premium hardware price.
Pros
  • The light itself is well-regarded when the app connects.
  • In some updates, connectivity issues were addressed for at least some users.
Cons
  • Frequent Bluetooth connectivity issues prevent pairing with the panel.
  • Updates often break functionality, causing the app to stop working.
  • Limited feature set and poor UI; not all advertised functions are accessible; lack of custom presets.
  • Difficult account setup and login, with repeated website/app errors.
  • Poor QA and limited customer support/documentation.
Recent reviews
There are no mode summaries as screenshots show in the App Store. Modes and their wavelengths is all that displays. There is no history. The dashboard is empty. App says I’ve opted out of data collection (don’t recall doing that) but there’s no way to opt in that I can find. In can select mode 1-11 and turn the device on for a select number of minutes but that’s all this app seems to do.

Need the ability to be able to hook 2 to 4 different panels up to this at a time. Not sure why they even created this it’s pretty useless

When it works, it’s great. I love the light, but the app has definitely been an issue. I have it on my iPhone, and after a month, it suddenly stopped working. I tried everything. My husband was able to contact Support, but even that person couldn’t figure out what was going on. Before I gave it a 1 star rating, I thought I’d try it again, and now it’s working. I hope I can come back and give it more stars, but it has to keep working!
