HeartScan: Heart Rate Monitor Apple

HeartScan: Heart Rate Monitor

Instant Pulse & Rhythm Check

Overview

Features & Capabilities

Meet HeartScan — the first phone‑only heart‑rate monitor that shows what your smartwatch can’t. Lay back, place the iPhone on your chest, hold still for 60 s. HeartScan turns micro‑vibrations into a real‑time cardio‑wave so you can see every beat, not just count it.

Why people use HeartScan • Instant pulse & rhythm check — reassurance for skipped beats, palpitations, post‑COVID tachy.* • Training insight — athletes visualise stroke‑volume trends between VO₂ sessions. • Recovery tracking — post‑MI patients watch mechanical strength rebuild day by day. • Doctor‑ready PDF — export a clean report that cardiologists understand.

Key features ▸ Accurate heart‑rate (BPM) powered by AI + seismocardiography (SCG) ▸ Cardio‑wave viewer — see each systole & diastole in motion ▸ HrV snapshot — variability graph for stress insight ▸ Session history — compare today vs last month ▸ PDF & CSV export — share or archive your data ▸ Works on any iPhone 8+ — no camera flash, no extra hardware

How it works Lie flat on a sofa or bed.

Open HeartScan and hit Start.

Place the phone mid‑sternum or apical region.

Breathe normally for one minute.

Review BPM, wave, rhythm and HRV.

Behind the scenes, our neural model filters out breathing, muscle artefacts and noise to estimate mechanical systole — something optical PPG and single‑lead ECG can’t do.

Privacy first All recordings stay on your device unless you tap ‘Export’. No third‑party analytics. Read the full policy: heartscan.app/privacy

Palpitation Panic Loop insight: 76 % of Reddit users said “seeing the wave calm down” reduces anxiety — that’s exactly what HeartScan delivers.

User Reviews

Users report the app can measure heart rate with a simple chest-based scan, but major drawbacks dominate: paid analysis without a trial and high subscription costs; difficulty canceling; little guidance on interpreting results; and reliability issues with artifacts and inconsistent readings. Onboarding friction and expectations (not an ECG app) also color opinions. Overall, the core function works, but usability, transparency, and reliability issues heavily impact satisfaction.
Pros
  • Easy, quick heart-rate measurement by placing the phone on the chest and starting the scan.
  • Delivers a heart-rate reading from the scan.
  • Core functionality works as described for basic use.
Cons
  • Paywall or paid analysis with no free trial and expensive subscriptions.
  • Cancellation/subscription management is unclear or difficult; users report trouble canceling.
  • Lack of explanations or guidance to interpret readings and understand health implications.
  • Reliability concerns due to artifacts, erroneous results, and inconsistent readings.

First of all, I wanted to say thank you for publishing this app! It’s super interesting and useful and I find it very awesome :). However, I had a question. Does the app still offer its Premium membership? Whenever I press anything that has to do with getting Premium, it says that the pricing info has failed to load. I’ve checked and even switched my connections and nothing works. Please let me know as soon as possible, as I am intrigued by your application and would love to have access to its full potential. Thank you!!

This app is actually pretty good at measuring your heart rate/pulse by only placing it up to your chest, pressing start, and resting it there, and it can tell you your heart rate, the only downside is that you can’t use the analysis because you have to pay for it, so no free trials you don’t have to pay for or anything :(
