If I could give it 0 stars, I would. The apps interface is horrible and outdated, it takes forever to startup, and provides three canned responses to any issues you have without resolving anything- it’s actually only two answers considering it prompts you to change the batteries two different ways (i.e. “Click and hold okay for 3 seconds to enter discovery mode on your remote”, “change the batteries”, and my personal favorite “ensure you have fresh batteries”). I’m in a never ending loop of trying to reconnect my smart remote to my iPhone. I develop & design UX/UI professionally and this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with an app. To whomever is in charge… It’s 2026, connect Claude to your codebase let it cook. Selling this “not so smart” remote after I buy a Vizio OEM remote. The best part of this app will be deleting it.
