User Reviews

Users praise Country Days Tracker for easy setup and reliable day-tracking by country/state for taxes, visas, and past trips. Features like photo-based retroactive counting and a calendar with flags are frequently highlighted. The main recurring drawback is pricing: many reviews view the subscription as expensive and prefer a one-time purchase, or feel that key features require paying. Overall, the app is valued for reducing manual logging, with price being the primary obstacle for some users.
Pros
  • Easy to use and quick to set up
  • Accurate day counts by country/state for tax residency and visa compliance
  • Automatic day tracking with retroactive counting via photo metadata
  • Visually appealing calendar view with country flags and travel history
  • Lifesaver for organizing past trips and reducing manual spreadsheets
Cons
  • Pricing model is subscription-based and viewed as overpriced; many users prefer a one-time purchase
  • Some core features appear gated behind the paid plan, reducing perceived value
  • Value for money is questioned by multiple reviewers across reviews
  • Examples of price points (e.g., 23–25 USD) are cited as a barrier to adoption

I have been using this app for few years now and I totally love how it tracks what countries I visit and also if I need to go back and track my visits for tax reasons it’s so easy. Over time it’s cool to see all the flags on the calendar. A++

Very handy and easy to use country day tracker

This is the app I always hoped someone would create. If you travel frequently and need to provide your accountant with accurate day counts by country or U.S. state, this tool is indispensable. It eliminated the tedious chore of manually updating spreadsheets and added the bonus of tracking both tax residency days and visa compliance. It’s also helped me avoid the high-risk pitfalls of overstaying the EU 90/180 rule — something that can lead to fines of up to €5,000 and even a temporary ban from re-entry.
