ActiveTravel is a travel mapping app that encourages you to walk and cycle more. The app calculates how you travel each day and present how physically active you are and the saved CO2-emissions in your day-to-day transport. You can set your own personal goals on how much walking and cycling you should do each week, compete with others using ActiveTravel and get encouraging messages with tips.

ActiveTravel can help your find a healthier and more sustainable everyday life.

ActiveTravel automatically gives you a travel diary suggestion, including all your trips during the day, without you needing to indicate when you are moving. To get feedback on your trips, review the suggestion, adjust if necessary and then confirm the day.

To be able to catch all your trips, the app use GPS in the background. This can have an impact on battery usage. In order to conserve battery while you are stationary, ActiveTravel will use the accelerometer to detect when you start to move, then activating the GPS-logging.
