User Reviews

Most reviews criticize Tesla One for reliability and usability. Repeated issues include crashes or being unable to connect to wall chargers, difficulty accessing devices, and poor Wi‑Fi/configuration handling. Users describe the UX as confusing and not consumer-friendly, with many calling it employee-oriented. The browser/Web UI experience is missed, as configuring wall connectors via the app is seen as inferior. Sign-in problems and inconsistent authentication add to the frustration. A minority report occasional smooth use when sign-in works, but overall stability remains the main problem.
Pros
  • When sign-in works, the app allows managing wall charger settings (Wi‑Fi, software version) and commissioning for some users.
  • A subset of users report the app is easy to use for basic tasks once properly signed in.
Cons
  • The app is frequently unreliable: it often fails to connect to wall chargers, locks up, or prevents access to jobs/equipment.
  • The user experience is confusing and not consumer-friendly; many reviews describe it as difficult to use and aimed at employees rather than end users.
  • The browser-based web UI has been removed, and configuring the wall connector via the app is seen as inferior and cumbersome.
  • Wi‑Fi and network configuration is problematic: the app cannot reliably change the charger’s Wi‑Fi, and there are router compatibility/WPA issues that cause disconnects.
  • Sign‑in and authentication flow is inconsistent or problematic (Face ID freezes, unclear login steps, and guidance about 'external partner' login).

Reconfigured my home network and needed to re-deploy the wall connector in my garage. It worked when i first installed it but now the app hangs at the install screen, unresponsive to any input. Issue persists through deletion/ reinstallation of app.

Trying to lower my amps on my wall connector, typing the wall connector IP address into web browser had me download Tesla One. The app lets me log in, but the landing screen is completely frozen. Can’t do anything at all.
