Cosmo (formerly ClassUp)

Cosmo is such a great app for me to learn. The teachers are also extra kind! I really recommend this app to other families.

My concerns are not based on one isolated incident, but on repeated problems with their communication, scheduling, and customer service. Their “progress report” calls often seem to turn into sales calls for additional classes rather than genuine discussions about my child’s progress. Communication with their “Learning Partners” has also been difficult, and the Learning Partners change so frequently that the new person often seems unaware of previous arrangements or account history. Most recently, our program was set up for ONE CLASS PER WEEK, but Cosmo scheduled two classes in the same week. When I asked them to cancel the extra class that they had scheduled, I was told I would lose the credit because it was within 24 hours—and that I would have to pay an additional $10 if I wanted to use that class later. A cancellation policy should apply when a customer makes a late cancellation, not when the company makes a scheduling error and the customer asks them to correct it. I find it completely unreasonable to charge the customer for the company’s own mistake. After dealing with multiple issues like this, I would strongly recommend that parents carefully monitor their schedules, class credits, and charges and keep records of all communication.
