User Reviews

Reviewers praise Arabius for its Saudi Arabic dialect focus, cultural content, engaging visuals, and effective speaking practice, with some calling it better than Duolingo and life-saving for maintaining dialect skills. Common downsides include a lack of English translations, slow pacing with no skip option, occasional UI issues, and beginner-friendliness concerns. Overall, strong value for learners targeting Saudi Arabic, but translations, pacing, and navigation could be improved to broaden accessibility.
Pros
  • Focused on the Saudi Arabic dialect with cultural context, filling a rare niche others overlook.
  • Engaging, visually appealing design with drawings and interactive content that makes learning enjoyable.
  • Effective for building vocabulary and speaking, including live teacher sessions and speaking practice.
  • Free to use and accessible, with many users praising its cost-effectiveness.
  • Often praised as better than Duolingo for Arabic and described as life-saving for retaining Saudi dialect skills.
Cons
  • Lack of English translations or transliterations in many lessons, making it hard for non-Arabic speakers to understand vocabulary.
  • Lessons progress slowly and there's no easy skip/fast-forward option, which can be time-consuming.
  • Some UI/navigation issues (e.g., continue button sometimes hard to reach) appear in reviews.
  • Not beginner-friendly; some Arabic background is recommended to get the most out of the app.
