The My YORK app works for basic AC control, but its smart home integration is very disappointing. The app shows options/icons for both Amazon Alexa and Google Home, but unfortunately neither integration actually works. I tried linking the account and following the required steps, but the YORK air conditioner still does not appear or become controllable through either platform. This is a major limitation for anyone building a smart home, especially when the AC itself is marketed with Wi-Fi and smart capabilities. Having Alexa and Google Home icons in the app creates the expectation that these integrations are supported and functional. YORK should urgently fix these integrations and provide proper support for Alexa and Google Home. Until then, My YORK cannot really be considered a complete smart-home solution.
