User Reviews

The app shines with a rich library of classic Black films and originals and a nostalgic vibe, plus user-driven features. However, repeated content removals and poor communication about what's leaving have frustrated users and fractured the lineup.

Pros

Extensive library of classic Black movies and TV shows.
Original content and ongoing additions to the catalog.
Nostalgic, trip down memory lane experience.
User-driven suggestions feature (they ask users what to watch).
Quality and authentic feel of the classics.

Cons

Significant content removals; beloved titles pulled from the catalog.
Lack of transparency about removals (no clear reasons or notices).
Catalog changes lead to an inconsistent library and user disappointment.

Got the subscription today and EACH time I log in there are 2 options, request a LINK or use your password. But it won’t even remember your email! Come on! If you’re going to add this to smart device platforms, do make using your biometrics NOT a thing! Pissing me off just to log on will have this account canceled the SAME DAY! This is August 2026, not 1989!

The catalogue continues to grow and I love the social aspect as well. It’s different from other streaming apps but it’s necessary to know what the community really wants.
