User Reviews

Reviews show strong hardware quality and color options but a consistently unreliable app. The most recurring issues are crashes, unsaved automations, connectivity drops, broken fixture grouping, and a confusing user interface. Hardware features like sunrise/sunset timing are present but often nonfunctional due to app problems.
Pros
  • High-quality lighting hardware (lights and transformers) praised by reviewers.
  • Rich color customization options (color programming, colorscape, holiday colors).
  • Automation features exist (sunrise/sunset timing, room/group management) with potential for advanced control.
Cons
  • App is buggy and unstable: frequent crashes, freezes, and long load times.
  • Automations and schedules do not save or apply; time-based automations can misbehave (e.g., daylight saving issues).
  • Devices frequently drop offline or fail to connect; connectivity and setup problems persist.
  • Grouping/organization is broken: cannot create or save groups, offline fixtures difficult to remove, fixtures appear mixed.
  • Poor UI/UX: non-intuitive interface with terrible menus and navigation.
Recent reviews
Terrible interface. Terrible menus. Drops connectivity constantly. Have to delete app and redownload regularly. Could not be worse.

I’m a network admin with 20+ years experience and can confidently tell you that every effort to get these lights to join your WiFi network or stay connected for any significant period of time will be met with disappointment. Total trash. Find a dev with a Claude code sub and vibe code a better app then this trash.

After hours of converting our Ventrix system from the WAC app to MyWAC, the app doesn’t control any of the fixtures and you can’t great groups. Query Group ID failed. You can’t remove old or offline fixtures. It blends all the fixtures together in one list and not by room so you have to rename the fixtures with the room name tag if you want to try and create a room group. But the room Group won’t save anyway.
