Slow Ways Makers is a Chrome extension that helps you explore a national crowd-sourced walking network across Great Britain. With more than 10,000 routes and about 137,000 km of paths, volunteers contribute routes that connect towns and cities. The extension lets you discover suggested routes near you, view key route details (distance, ascent, descent, and whether a route has reviews), see how settlements connect, and read photos from other walkers. You can browse by map or search for places, sign up for a free account to leave reviews and create your own way lists, and navigate routes in real time with directional guidance and offline map downloads.
