1. In a Cash Game you start whenever you want and play for as long as you like. Minutes or hours. It’s up to you. And the name says it all. You bet using cash.
2. Tournaments are the opposite. They start at a specific time and can last hours, possibly with several hundred players. Here you bet using tournament chips. The goal is to win all chips in the tournament. If you lose all your chips, then you are out.
